Mayor Jolley Offers Saturday Hours; New Monday thru Friday Hours

Mayor Paula Jolley will be in City Hall the first and third Saturday each month from 8:00 to 11:00 am. Feel free to stop by anytime during these hours to share any concerns you may have.

City Hall will be open Monday thru Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. effective Janruary 17, 2012.

Walton Community Park to get New Equipment

Construction of the new dog runs are underway and will be finished by spring at the Walton Community Park on Old Stephenson Mill Road. New playground equipment will be going in starting the week of December 19th and will be completed as soon as the end of the year (weather permitting).

Mike Wood Appointed to City Council

Mike Wood was appointed to fill the vacant seat on City Council at Council Meeting held Monday evening, December 12th. He is not new to the position, as he was on Council for eight years previously. He filled the seat left vacant when Paula Jolley was appointed Mayor by Council last month following the resignation of former mayor Wayne Carlisle.
All six Council seats, and Mayor's seat will be up for election in November, 2012. Any person interested in running for Mayor or Council must sign up by August, 2012.
