City Council Caucus Meeting, September 8, 2011 - City Hall @ 7:30 pm

Old Fashion Day Movie Night, September 9, 2011 - Walton Community Park @ dusk. Bring the family, blankets, chairs and snacks to watch Gnomeo and Juliet on the giant blow up screen.

38th Old Fashion Day, September 10, 2011 - Main Street. Parade begins @ 11:00 am.

Following the parade, many activities are planned for all ages. Horse and wagon rides, inflatable slides, street train ride, and petting zoo are available for the children, as well as food, craft, and game booths for everybody will be lined up and down Main Street. Solo Flight, Sugarfoot Cloggers and games for adult and kids will fill the afternoon.

New this year is a Karaoke contest sponsored by El Toro Mexican Restaurant. Preliminary competitions are being held weekly on Thursdays, August 25th, September 1st and 8th at the restaurant at 8:00 pm for children and adults. Come out and join the fun. Six finalist will perform at 5:30 pm on Old Fashion Day to compete for prizes.

The evening will end with Caleb Brown, and his Elvis Tribute Band at 7:30 pm. on the main stage.

Seat Open on Walton Board of Adjustments - Anyone wishing to serve on the Walton Board of Adjustments for the Boone County Planning Commission should send a letter stating your desire to City Hall, P O Box 95, Walton, KY 41094.
Support Our Local Businesses - We have a good number of local businesses in town that would love your support, especially during these economic times. New businesses that have opened in the last few weeks are: Miss Charlotte's Flowers, Wartman Brothers Boxing Gym and Fitness, Go Do Ryn Martial Arts, Remax Advantage Group, have joined Edward Jones Investments at 67 N Main Street. Also, Rico's Biker Store has opened at 14 S Main St.  The Dairy Delight will be opening September 5th.
