WATER & SEWER - The City of Walton has its own water and sewer department. The water is supplied by N.K.W.D.  (rates available upon request). Sanitation District #1 is contracted to take care of the cities' 2 sewer plants. Rates are available upon request at 859-485-4383.

NEWSPAPER AND TELEVISION - The Boone County Recorder is the local weekly paper. The Cincinnati Enquirer is the Cincinnati daily papers that includes a Kentucky section. There are six local (Cincinnati) television stations and one Cable Company (Time Warner Communications) are within the area.

BANKS - US Bank, The Bank of Kentucky, and Heritage Bank serve the local Walton area.

HOSPITALS - St. Elizabeth Florence; St. Elizabeth Edgewood; and other Greater Cincinnati hospitals serve the area.

WASTE COLLECTION - Bavarian.- has the exclusive right, privilege and franchise for entering in and upon the streets and public ways of the City of Walton for collecting and hauling away from businesses, homes and other places where necessary, garbage, trash and refuse. 859 485-4416.

GARBAGE CONTRACT - The Mayor and City Council have extended an exclusive two (2) year contract with Bavarian Waste Services. Effective July 1,2013, for the small fee of $9.75 per month, Bavarian will pick up your trash and recycling (at an additional cost of $4.50 per month) at curbside every Wednesday which accepts a wide variety of materials including: all plastic bottles, no lids; glass jars and bottles of any color; aluminum and steel cans; empty aerosol cans with lids and tips removed; brown grocery bags; computer paper and other mixed office paper; corrugated cardboard broken down to 3'x3' pieces; envelopes, with or without windows; junk mail; magazines and telephone books; newspapers with inserts; paperboard, such as cereal boxes; and pizza boxes with all grease and food residue removed. www.bavarianwaste.com.


Container Prices Effective July 1, 2013 thru June 30, 2015 Hand Collection -  $ 9.75 per month up to 4 cans per week.

DROP OFF RECYCLING - Boone County Solid Waste provides a Recycling Bin next to the Walton Public Works on High School Ct. Drop off items include: tin and aluminum cans; broken down cardboard; phone books, newspaper, magazines, office paper; plastic bottles with # 1 and 2 on the bottom, and glass jars .
