Old Fashion Day 2011
Another Old Fashion Day has come and gone. The OFD Parade 2011, led by Grand Marshal Lee Frakes, who was honored for his service to his country and his community was well attended. Winners of the trophy's for the parade are: Best Interpretation of Theme, Bank of Kentucky; Mayor's Choice, Doug Jackson's Tractor; Most Original, Miss Charlotte's Flowers; Best of Show, Jim Newby's Model A Ford; Honorable Mention, 2 Men and a Truck.
There were over 70 vendors with food, crafts, games, and more. The afternoon and evenings entertainment really held the crowd. El Toro Mexican Restaurant sponsored a Karaoke contest. The winners were Aubry Griffith, 1st place, and Jesse Imhoff, 2nd place, won in the youth division. Bill "Billy Bob" Leming won the adult division. Pepsi® provided a grill for the adult winner, and a bike for the youth winner. Caleb Brown's Elvis Tribute Band held the crowd until closing. Many thanks to all who participated and made Old Fashion Day 2011 a great success.
