City Council Meeting Canceled - January 9th

Office Closed – January 16th - MLK Holiday

Mayor Jolley has Saturday Hours; Monday thru Friday New Hours

     Mayor Paula Jolley will be in City Hall the first and third Saturday of each month, 8:00 to 11:00 am. If you have any concerns, feel free to  stop by during this time.

    City Hall will be open, Monday thru Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm beginning January 17th.  

Mike Wood Appointed to City Council

     Mike Wood was appointed to fill the vacant seat on City Council at Council Meeting held Monday evening, December 12th. He is not new to the position, as he was on Council for eight years previously. He filled the seat left vacant when Paula Jolley was appointed Mayor by Council last month following the resignation of former mayor Wayne Carlisle.
     All six Council seats, and Mayor's seat will be up for election in November, 2012. Any person interested in running for Mayor or Council must sign up by August, 2012

Walton Community Park gets New Equipment

     Construction of the new dog runs are underway and will be finished by spring at the Walton Community Park on Old Stephenson Mill Road. New playground equipment will be going in starting the week of December 19th and will be completed as soon as the end of the year (weather permitting).
