37th Old Fashion Day, September 11th

 

The City of Walton and Classic Country WNKR, 106.7 present the 37th Annual Old Fashion Day. The celebration begins on Friday evening with a family movie at Walton Community Park.

Then on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. the OFD Parade, honoring our Vietnam Veterans, kicks off the days' activities. Classic Country WNKR will be broadcasting live following the parade until 5 p.m. An exciting day is planned with entertainment for all ages. Free petting zoo and inflatable obstacle course for the and free horse and wagon rides for everyone. Food and various booths along Main Street will offer something for everyone.

 
Elvis Presley Tribute Band Performs Old Fashion Day
 

Caleb Brown began his career as an Elvis Tribute artist in 2002. Today, Caleb is still performing and continues to keep the magic of Elvis alive.

11:00 a.m. - Parade Begins

12:15 p.m. - Welcome, Mayor Phil Trzop

12:30 p.m. - Go Do Ryn Martial Arts Demonstration

01:00 p.m. - Solo Flight, Jeff Gaunce

03:00 p.m. - "Minute to Win It" type games for all ages (Sponsored by Walton Land Development)

04:00 p.m. - Sugar Foot Cloggers

07:30 p.m. - Elvis Presley Tribute Band featuring Caleb Brown

10:30 p.m. - Closing

 
Fall Clean Up Scheduled
 
Residential Fall Clean Up has been scheduled for the week of October 17 - 23, 2010 Dumpsters wil be located at the City Public Works building @ 11 High School Court for your use during that time. Remember, NO tires, NO liquids, and NO appliances.

An extra trash collection is scheduled for Saturday, October 23rd.
